Worship

Part of growing spiritually is learning how to worship God in the many ways we can do this. God created us to worship Him, to draw close to Him, to give Him the honor and praise that He deserves. In a sense, worship is our response to the love, grace and forgiveness that God freely gives to us as His people. We want to enjoy Him, to be intimate with Him. That is our highest priority as God’s people.

We believe worship is an expression of our love for God. It should involve our whole person - our intellect, our emotions, our spirit, our will, our body and our resources. Worship is not a program that you participate in on Sundays and in church meetings. It is a 24/7 lifestyle. And it should be authentically expressed in our language, our thoughts, and our behavior.

Music is one of the most powerful and beautiful ways of expressing our worship to God. In our church services, it is also a great way for us to worship God as a community. We use music and songs as one of the ways that we can learn how to express our thoughts and feelings toward God. We do not see singing songs to God as a prep time for the sermon, but a vital part of the service to connect with God as a community. Learning to worship is a key part of personal and corporate spiritual growth in our church.
