We know that people often experience hurts and disappointments in their lives. Relationships can be difficult or fall apart and rebuilding them takes time and guidance. Personal challenges need to be addressed in Godly ways and a listening ear, Godly counsel, and helpful follow-up and prayer too can help these as well. There are also times when health issues, or even death and bereavement, need to be addressed and carefully ministered to.
In our church, we provide pastoral care to our members who are struggling with personal, family and relationship issues. We have a pastor trained in counseling to address complex issues. This is provided in a confidential and spiritually strengthening manner. We also ask our Life Group leaders to serve as a first line of support for their people so that issues can be addressed in the comfort of a small group that shares care and concern for each other. In all cases, we bring those who are hurting into connection with the God who truly can bring healing and restoration, as well as practical guidance and sometimes referrals to others who may have the professional skills and resources that are needed for a particular situation.
