WORSHIP DANCE MINISTRY IN THE VINEYARD

"O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. Praise His name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp.  For the LORD delights in His people; He crowns the humble with salvation."  (Psalm 149: 2-4)

If you are interested in learning more about the Worship Dance Ministry in the Raleigh Vineyard, join us for an informational meeting on Sunday, May 18th immediately following the service in the office area prayer room.

Worship of God is our highest calling as Christians. We are commanded to worship God with all that we are (Matthew 22:37). Our worship is our response to the incredible grace God pours out on us as His children.

This privilege of honoring and blessing God can take many forms including expression through the worship arts. When God’s people meet collectively, our hearts can rise in worship as we observe or participate in the many forms of worship expression including worship dance.

What is the Vision of Vineyard Worship Dance ministry? Our vision is to:

•  Authentically worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23), expressing His beauty, creativity, and glory through worship dance

•  Encourage congregational worship of God through the creativity and beauty of movement

•  Develop a team of dancers gifted in worship dance who are able to lead others into worship through movement

Who Can Participate in Worship Dance ministry?

•
Women and men of high school age and older

•
Committed members of the Vineyard

•
Worshipers with a passion for and some gifting in dance*

*An interview and simple audition is required (The audition is for the purpose of determining potential, not maturity, in dance.) followed by participation in a process of equipping and internship.
