The reason we dress casually for church is we believe that God is more concerned about the condition of our heart than He is about the condition of our clothes.
When God sent the prophet Samuel to choose a king for Israel, He passed over 7 qualified candidates until David was brought out and stood before him. Samuel was instructed not to consider his height nor his outward appearance because while people look at the outward appearance of others, God looks at the heart.
