The Nelson Family
Mike is originally from the Seattle area where he went to school. It was in a campus Presbyterian Church that Jesus found him and changed his life. He was headed into accounting when the Lord changed the course of his life mid-stream! He studied for his masters of divinity and took his first call in Columbus Ohio near the Ohio State Universtity. He met his wife Diana there in Columbus Ohio and they were married in 1991. After 5 years there, they decided to leave the Presbyterian denomination. At that time, he was introduced to the Vineyard and came to pastor the Raleigh Vineyard in November of 1996. He and his wife have 4 children: Alyx, Danielle, Jonathan, and Tyler and a very large 135 pound labrador named Wilson.
